東漢經學家趙岐說：
物，事也。 [1]
他沒有把物只當做物，把物和人聯繫在一起當成事。
良知賦予事物意義，王陽明說：
心即理也，此心無私慾之蔽，即是天理……以此純乎天理之心，發之事父便是孝，發之事君便是忠，發之交友、治民便是信與仁。 [2]
如果對待事物不加入意義，那麼一個人殺了另一個人，從純物質角度看，只是將另一個人的物質重組了，二戰日軍殺南京人和希特勒殺了猶太人，只是將被殺的人物質重組了，被殺的人被火化，只是物質大部分變輕擴散走了，剩下少部分的物質（骨灰）回到泥土裡面再次被生物吸收重組，那我們為什麼認為這些行為是壞的而不是只認為是物質在做重組而已呢？因為如果人只從物質看世界，世界就沒有任何意義，包括人活著也沒有意義，馬上自裁和活到自然死亡沒有區別只是在進行物質重組，之所以我們認為這些行為是壞的，因為我們有是非之心——良知。
法律總有管不了的地方，一個人駕車撞了另一個人，沒有被別人和監控看見的條件下，他知道他不會獲得懲罰的條件下，他肇事逃逸了，他無需賠償。或者被撞人重傷沒死，司機為了賠的少，他進行二次碾壓壓死這個人，他賠款的少了。只從物質角度看這兩個案例，司機的物質沒有被懲罰變得減少，但是只從物質角度看，他和每一個進行類似行為的人終其一生有何意義？只是物質跟平時一樣一直在進行重組。但是從精神和意識的角度看，他才是行惡做了壞事。
古代在荒山野嶺有人殺人越貨，有誰能知道？
沒有網約車的信息記錄的時候，乘客沒留出租車信息而遺漏重要物品在出租車上，司機不提醒私吞在合適的時候使用，有誰能知道？
顧客說飯菜有問題要求重上，廚師於是在暗處往飯菜裡吐痰，廚師以外有誰能知道此事對廚師做出懲罰？
有什麼可以製止這種行為？答案是他們自己的良知。
如果說世界是由物質或能量構成的，那麼精神和意識就是屬於高級物質或者高級能量，我們傳統認為的物質就是中、低級物質或能量了，高級物質比中低級物質或能量重要。
人類在歷史上追求只將個人的中、低級物質或能量增加，只從中、低級物質或能量的角度左右世界，犯了無數的錯誤，以有意義的領域的最高學問致是非之心良知為主義，人就有了活著的意義和價值！如果不追求意義，那人活著有什麼意義？
司馬遷也說：
人固有一死，或重於泰山，或輕於鴻毛。 [3]

He ran away from the accident and he didn't need to pay compensation. Or the victim was seriously injured and did not die. In order to pay less, the driver crushed and killed this person twice. He paid less. Looking at these two cases only from a material point of view, the driver's material has been reduced without being punished, but from a material point of view, what is the meaning of his life with everyone who performs similar behavior? It's just that the material has been undergoing reorganization as usual. But from the perspective of spirit and consciousness, he did evil and did bad things.
In the ancient times, there were people killing and killing goods in barren mountains and wild mountains. Who can know?
When there is no information about the online car-hailing, passengers have left the taxi information and missed important items on the taxi. The driver does not remind the private to use it at the right time. Who can know?
The customer said that there was a problem with the food, and the chef asked for more attention. The chef spit into the food in the dark. Can anyone outside the chef know how to punish the chef?
What can stop this behavior? The answer is their own conscience.
If the world is made of matter or energy, then the spirit and consciousness belong to high-level matter or high-level energy. The matter we traditionally think of is middle- and low-level matter or energy.
Mankind has historically pursued only increasing the individual ’s medium and low-level matter or energy, and only controlling the world from the perspective of middle- and low-level matter or energy. , People have the meaning and value of being alive! If you do not pursue meaning, what is the meaning of that person alive?
Sima Qian also said:
A person is inherently dead, heavier than Mount Tai, or lighter than Hongmao. [^ 1]
